The Animation Department was established in 2001, with the support of the Piedmont Region.

The course objective is to train artists and professionals in all the creative and production phases in animation for cinema, tv and new media.

Admission is by entrance tests. Enrollment: € 1,500 per year. Some grants are given by the School and by other institutions and private companies.

Places available: 16 (of which 1 place can be given to a non - E.U. citizen)

Deadline for application: July 15, 2005.

Essential requirements: secondary school diploma or similar title. Date of birth between 01-01-1977 and 31-12-1985; excellent knowledge of Italian; knowledge of English; excellent artistic skills.

It is a three-year course with obligatory attendance. It includes two main areas of specialization: classical animation and computer animation.
Special attention is given to experimental animation. Courses are held in Italian.

The campus: the school is situated in the hills about 15 km from the centre of Turin, in the Piedmont Region in North-West Italy. It offers accomodation with canteen and self-catering facilities.
